Hallana and John met thanks to Hallana's sister, Gabrielle Haddad! When John hung out with a group of friends after attending one of her sister's gigs, unbeknownst to Hallana, Gab instantly decided to set Hallana and John up.

It turns out that John was good friends with a lot of people Hallana knew. Once the two met, they immediately hit it off. They grew close fast going on many hikes, 5k runs, and cooking many dinners together.
